Restoring Worn Front Teeth with Dental Crowns

Patient History

Before his wedding, this patient came to us concerned about the appearance of his front teeth, his bite, and signs of excessive tooth wear. Previous consultations had resulted in treatment recommendations ranging from orthodontics and jaw surgery to placing crowns throughout his mouth.

Seeking a more conservative approach, we focused treatment on his two front teeth while also addressing his bite to create greater stability.

Treatment

The patient began with at-home teeth whitening to brighten his overall smile. Two custom dental crowns were then placed on his upper front teeth to restore their shape, proportions, and appearance.

Because tooth grinding had contributed to the wear, a custom night guard was also created to help protect the new restorations and reduce the risk of further damage. This focused approach allowed us to enhance his smile while limiting treatment to the areas that needed it most.
