Replacing a Broken Tooth with a Dental Implant

Patient History

This patient came to us with an upper premolar that had broken at the gumline. Because there was not enough healthy tooth structure remaining to predictably restore the tooth, extraction and replacement were recommended.

Treatment

The damaged tooth was carefully removed and a dental implant was placed to replace the missing tooth. After approximately three months of healing, the implant was restored with an all-ceramic dental crown supported by a zirconia connection to the implant.

The completed restoration provided a strong, natural-looking replacement designed to restore both the appearance and function of the missing premolar.
