Restoring Worn Front Teeth with Porcelain Crowns
Patient History
This patient came to us after noticing significant changes in her smile over the years, including an older crown on a front tooth that had broken. A detailed evaluation revealed excessive wear on her front teeth related to a long-term teeth-grinding habit.
Her goal was to restore the appearance of her smile while also addressing the underlying functional concerns contributing to the wear.
Treatment
Four all-porcelain dental crowns were carefully designed to restore the shape, position, and proportions of the front teeth. Her bite was also thoroughly evaluated and adjusted to create greater balance and function between the teeth.
Once treatment was complete, a custom night guard was fabricated to help protect both her natural teeth and new porcelain restorations from continued damage caused by grinding.
