Replacing Front Dental Crowns for a More Natural Smile
Patient History
During a consultation for sleep apnea, a comprehensive examination revealed significant enamel erosion related to a history of acid reflux and dietary factors. The patient later had her front teeth restored with crowns by her family dentist but felt the shape and proportions of the restorations did not complement her face or smile.
Her goal was to replace the existing crowns with restorations that looked and felt more natural.
Treatment
After careful evaluation and treatment planning, the existing crowns were removed and the eight front teeth were prepared for new all-porcelain dental crowns.
The new restorations were individually designed to improve the shape, proportions, and overall harmony of her smile while restoring proper function. The result was a more natural-looking smile thoughtfully designed around the patient’s individual features.
